The artisanal cheeses at the shop are created using the milk of these cows bred at the Comfort Farm, located a short distance from the shop.

At the farm, fresh milk produced daily is converted into cheeses of varying textures and flavours. They are aged in the cellar and finally brought to the store to be lapped up by cheese-loving customers. It’s pure and tasty! When you stop by the shop, you can taste various cheeses and then buy the ones you like.
Types of Upper Canada Cheese
Some of the popular cheese products here include Comfort Cream, a rind cheese with a soft creamy interior. Hand salted and hand wrapped, there are several takers for this cheese with it fresh truffle flavours and a buttery, tangy finish. Although it is aged for four weeks, a few more weeks of ageing gives it a more mature taste.

Another favourite is the Guernsey Girl Grilling Cheese with its salty flavour. It can be fried or grilled to produce a caramelized surface; either way it’s delicious.
The nutty, earthy and buttery flavours of another product Niagara Gold are also great. It is mild when young but acquires pungency with age.
More than bricks of Cheese
Cheese and Charcuterie makes for a wonderful gift basket; it consists of Niagara Gold Cheese, Guernsey Girl Comfort Cream and locally cured meat sausage.
