Niagara Parks – Journey Behind the Falls

Experience the power of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls from a different angle

You’ve seen them from a distance. Now experience the awesome power of the Falls from within as its mighty waters thunder overhead.

Located in Niagara Falls by the brink of Horseshoe Falls and inside the Table Rock Centre, Journey Behind the Falls begins with an elevator ride 150 feet underground.

A network of tunnels leads you through bedrock to the Cataract Portal and the Great Falls Portal where two spectacular observation decks await you at the foot of the Falls.

As the water cascades and mist envelops you, you’ll hear the sounds of nature at its most ferocious. But don’t worry – biodegradable ponchos are provided.

At Journey Behind the Falls, you’ll experience the awesome spectacle of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down to the basin below. During summer daylight hours, over 2,800 cubic meters of water thunders over the brink every second, traveling 65 kilometers per hour!
