Whirlpool Golf Course
One of the oldest and the best public golf courses in the Region. Whirlpool Golf Course is located on the Niagara Parkway, in Niagara Falls. Designed by Stanley Thompson, the course gets its name from the Niagara Whirlpool situated close by.
Functional since 1951, the Whirlpool Golf Course continues to upgrade itself to offer the most up to date facilities. International tournaments al here. The picturesque 18-hole course will test your golfing skills and provide an enjoyable experience. After your game, you can unwind at the Whirlpool Restaurant with some delicious food and drinks.
Legends on the Niagara
Another amazing golf course on the Niagara Parkway in Niagara Falls is Legends on the Niagara. Battlefield and Ussher’s Creek are two scenic 18-hole championship courses here, while Chippawa offers a 9-hole course. Spread over an area of 1000 acres, the courses offer challenges and a chance to apply your golfing skills. Navigate the ball through large fairways, sand traps, trees, water hazards, parkland holes and more. The golf course also has a connection to the Battle of Chippawa (War of 1812) that was fought in the surrounding vicinity. A driving range and clubhouse too are a part of the property.
Peninsula Lakes Golf Club
A well-maintained golf course in Fenwick, Pelham. Peninsula Lakes Golf Club has excellent greens, fairways and stunning views. The property was once the site of a sand and gravel quarry. The quarry was transformed by Canadian architect and designer Rene Muylaert. It has three 9-hole courses–Quarry, Hillside and Orchard. You can also have a meal at the restaurant that offers a delectable array of dishes.
Thundering Waters Golf Club
Tee off at the Thundering Waters Golf Club on the Marineland Parkway in Niagara Falls. Another wonderful golfing destination, designed by professional golfer John Daly and Bo Danoff. The 18-hole golf course has great fairways, greens, with many portions running through oak, hickory and maple trees. Golfers of all skill levels will find the course challenging at different stages of the game.
Royal Niagara Golf Club
With a gorgeous locale in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Royal Niagara Golf Club is a public golf course. There are three 9-hole courses here:
- The Escarpment Course
- Iron Bridge Course
- The Old Canal Course
It is a great course for golfers, with its rolling greens and fabulous fairways dotted with several areas of water and sand traps. The course is suitable for both beginners and experienced players. There are enough challenges to ensure a wonderful game of golf. You can relax at the club’s restaurant with a good meal and a lovely view after the game.
