Niagara is known as Canada’s premier wine destination. The region features over a dozen craft beer & cider producers. It also has a growing culinary scene, with numerous restaurants in the region marking Open Tables top Canadian Restaurant lists.
Yet one thing many visitors enjoy during any vacation is Coffee. Niagara has it’s share of great places to enjoy a cup. Here are a few locations to visit during your Niagara Falls vacation.
Tim Hortons – Across the Niagara Region
Canadians and foreign visitors alike enjoy visiting Tim Hortons, a Canadian institution. Known by many as simply ‘Tims’, these shops can be found throughout the Niagara Region, including locations inside the Table Rock Welcoming Centre & Clifton Hill district in Niagara Falls.

Mathay’s is a hip coffee shop that features comfy couches, poetry readings, extensive menu featuring regular, gluten free & vegan items, and a rotating collection of Ontario created craft coffees. A favourite amongst locals throughout the week or visitors to events at the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre.
Local Farmers Markets – Niagara Region
Locally farmed products aren’t the only thing you’ll find at Niagara Region farmers markets. There is also a fair amount of coffee. The St.Catharines farmers market features coffee from a Mississauga roaster, Kurtis Coffee. The Pelham & Niagara-on-the-Lake Farmers markets feature locally roasted Bean & Barrel Coffee Roasters Coffee, and the Welland farmers market features Black Sheep Lounge Coffee.
Balzac’s Coffee Roasters – NOTL Location
One of Ontario’s original craft coffee roasters, Balzac’s Coffee Roasters opened their first location in 1996. The Niagara-on-the-Lake location is a local hangout for locals, featuring a number of craft coffees & some of the best coffee shop espresso pulls in the region.
